Carolyn has been a life-long Lutheran and a short-time member, almost 30 years, at St. Jacob! Her children Caryn and Matthew were baptized here, and they and her husband, Jerry, are members. “We immediately felt we had a church home the first Sunday we attended.” Being retired from her career as a consulting Industrial Engineer has afforded her time to serve as President of Church Council.  Prior to this position, Carolyn served on the property board, and she sings in the choir. She assists Jerry with the monthly Euchre tournament and Christmas Bazaar cooking. Carolyn is a member of the Friends of Green Library and has been treasurer of that group for 25 years.  Carolyn has also been a strong advocate for her children and others with special needs as a past member of Green School’s Parent Mentor Program.  Through a grant from the State of Ohio, she taught future educators, nurses, and caregivers how to work with children with autism. Carolyn’s priority as Council President is “to lead and encourage our congregation and boards in the activities needed to continue as a viable ELCA Lutheran Church.” Contact Carolyn at
