Alleluia is Coming Back - and So is Hope
Easter is not just a day on the calendar—it’s a lifeline for our souls. After long nights, after grief, after worry and weariness, Easter bursts in with light, hope, and joy that refuses to be quiet. It reminds us, in the words of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, that “we are not simply rescued from sin and death for ourselves alone, but for the sake of the world.” Easter calls us into a life shaped by grace, courage, and love—into a life where death does not have the final word.
Martin Luther, reflecting on the resurrection, once reminded us that we cannot live as if Christ were not risen. We need Easter every year—and every day—to remember that God’s grace is stronger than fear, sorrow, or failure. We need the Alleluia to return, to sing aloud that hope is real, and that the promise of new life is for all.
This Easter, we invite you to join us for a Service of Holy Communion on Sunday, April 5. Whether this is your first time, your hundredth time, or somewhere in between, there is a place for you at the table. Come as you are—curious, hopeful, weary, joyful—and be met by grace, music, Word, and the promise of new life.
Christ is risen! Death does not have the final word. Alleluia is back—and so is hope.
